Final Blog

Life lessons? Bucket list? Random final thoughts? Well to start this off I’m glad I took this class. I had fun in it , sure there was a considerable amount of work but nevertheless I enjoyed it. So as I am off topic I might as well proceed to being on topic. One of my life lessons is always double check the bill when you’re at a restaurant or else you may end up with something like what you’re seeing in the picture below.

My second life lesson is that accident do happen however when they do always make the best of the situation. Of course things can get out of hand but like in any crisis always remain calm and think things through rationally.

Just for the fun of it I’ll throw in bucket list. One of the things I want to do again is visit or stay in China for an extended period of time. I lived there for 10 years of my life so it’s basically a second home to me. I always enjoyed living there it would be nice to see it once again.

Last but not least a final thought. This semester was fun. The class was fun and always had an upbeat crowd. Well maybe not on Mondays everyone hates Mondays. Overall it was enjoyable but still it was a lot of work.

Tuesday's with Morrie

Tuesdays with Morrie is about a professor who was diagnosed with ALS. ALS is a disease that slowly degrades a person’s body till they are no more than a shell of their formers selves. Taking away the freedoms and pleasures of a normal human being and replacing them with despair. However Morrie did not fall into despair. He had a goal, a goal to help people live fuller lives. With the help of Mitch, a former student of his, he was able to help not only his former student’s life but the lives of others around him. He wanted to teach the world one last thing before he died, love each other equally and give to one’s community.  Through life lessons on every Tuesday Mitch learned the right way to live. Although Morrie was lost in the end Mitch became a changed man.

Wild Card: Work

In today’s society the way we view work has changed rapidly. What was previously known to many as life fulfilling, work has now become something rather demeaning. In a consumer society we always want more. More money, more jobs, more, more, more. The thing is even when you do have more does that create a fulfilled life? Will you be happy with your life? The answer to that hasn’t been solved since we are still looking for it years later. However my opinion on this would simply be, be happy with what you have. Live life how it’s supposed to be and don’t manage it.
